The Wedding That Brought Me Back: Greta + Tim

This was the first wedding I planned after stepping away from the business nearly 8 years ago. It reminded me exactly why I do this. Their day was soulful, intentional, and full of real connection. From our first conversation nearly a year before the wedding, every part of the process felt aligned. Thoughtful choices. Strong vendor partnerships. A couple who truly trusted me. This wedding didn’t just bring me back to planning. It brought me back to what I care about most. Helping people create a celebration that actually feels like them.

Greta and Tim’s style was summer camp vibes, bright colors and relaxed. They created a guest experience that was easy, soulful and romantic. Quilcene Lantern was the perfect wedding venue to showcase all of these elements. Complete with cabins available on-site for guests as well as camping options. It was a beautiful setting for this sweet and loving wedding celebration.

I might mention that this is also the wedding that brought me back to this industry. When my daughter approached me around this time last year as a matter of a fact, I was so taken by the thought of working along side my daughter. I was overwhelmed with excitement, joy, and connection. You see, I have always from the start felt such a connection to this industry, it just always made sense in my heart. This was so perfectly timed, and Greta and Tim’s wedding sounded exactly like the type of wedding I needed to reopen my doors!

We had close to a year to build a trust with Greta and Tim. It was just how I like these relationships to go. We worked together to create the logistics needed for them to have the worry-free and well thought out wedding experience. I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to have as my return to wedding planning!

Unique Details

Sweetheart table setup with vibrant florals, soft candles, and elegant tableware, positioned for the bride and groom.

We were so obsessed with the use of the bright colors and the amazing florals from A and A Honey Bee Florals. Those colors just sang and just put a smile on your face-you couldn’t help yourself! They played beautifully with the venue and the gorgeous sunshine! Really just all around perfect!

Ceremony

Ceremony shot of Greta, Tim, their officiant, and son standing together in front of a natural backdrop of meadow, trees, and soft hillside.

Greta and Tim chose to take advantage of the gorgeous topography that the venue had to offer. You just can’t beat that backdrop! Hills full of trees and long flowing grass is just screaming ceremony spot. The simplicity of the setting and meaningful vows spoken under a July sun is just the way this lovely couple wanted to celebrate their love. So meaningful, so genuinely them!

Reception

Now let’s talk summer campy vibes! The gorgeous farm-style tables together with the green moss and bright florals were the perfect touch! Standing back and looking at it when those tables were full of Greta and Tim’s favorite people was definitely the chef’s kiss. And in the evening when those twinkly lights came on…that completed the vibe.

These sweet words by both Mother-of-the-Bride and Bride were the cherry on top. I mean, just the sweetest and kindest words to give us. Our hearts are so warm and full. This line of work is like no other in that so much of this is about feelings and emotions. We are here for all of it!
